At heart, I am pure artist, who has loved painting and drawing as long as I can remember. Very detailed in my highly versatile work, I take a different approach, lending freshness to ordinary surroundings. Although my subject matter varies, I utilize my own unique creative style and technique that best emphasizes emotion in my work. Whether it is a pile of rubber bands, puzzle pieces, bunches of leaves, an architectural landscape or a detail of a landscape, I allow the subject to dictate the medium used to create the piece. Once afraid of color, I now use colors Mother Nature would not have dreamed of enticing the viewer to reveal in the colorful work.

I have experience in colored pencil, watercolor, graphite, pastels, charcoal, acrylic, etching, mixed media, pen & ink and oils. Not only has my work received numerous awards and critically acclaimed review from art critics, my paintings and drawings are displayed around the country and hang in many private and public collections around the world. My work has been published in the national art magazine: American Artist" as well as published in "Best of Colored Pencil 3, 4, & 5", "Best of Sketches & Drawing" and "Exploring Colored Pencil" and "Discovering Drawing", a high school drawing text book.

In 2004, I was voted "2004" Artist of the Year" in Livingston Parish by the Livingston Parish Arts Council. I am the only Louisiana Artist who maintains a "Signature Membership" and 5 year Merit Award in the Colored Pencil Society of America. My work can be seen at the Elizabethan Gallery in Baton Rouge.

I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in December 2006 in Art Education and I am currently teaching elementary art in the Zachary Community School System.
